Author Guidelines

JAISI welcomes original research articles, review articles and scholarly commentary on the intersection of artificial intelligence with the social sciences and humanities. Before submitting, please read the full Author Guidelines.

In brief: research articles are typically 5,000–10,000 words with a 150–250 word abstract and 4–6 keywords; submissions must be original and not under review elsewhere; prepare an anonymised manuscript for double-anonymous review; disclose any use of generative-AI tools. By submitting you accept publication under CC BY 4.0. See also Publication Ethics and Article Processing Charges.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
